International Nowruz Day celebrated on 21 March


   Every Year, International Nowruz day celebrated on 21 March globally. Nowruz is an ancestral festivity and marks the first day of spring as well as the renewal of nature. It is celebrated on the occasion of the astronomical vernal equinox that generally occurs on 21 March. It is celebrated by more than 300 million people all around the world as beginning of new year honored for over 3,000 years in the Balkan, the Black Sea Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East and other regions.


Central Government orders implementation of 37 Central Laws in J&K

  The Central govt. ordered the implementation of 37 Central Laws in Jammu And Kashmir. The Ministry Of Home Affairs has issued the order after the nod of union cabinet. This order will be known as the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Order, 2020 and will come into effect with immediate effect.


On 21 March, International Day of Forests observed


  International Forest Day is celebrated on 21 March by United Nations. This day is celebrated since 2012. Aim of this celebration is to increase the awareness and importance of forests among people.


Merger of two departments approved in J&K


  Jammu and Kashmir administration accorded approval to the merger of handicrafts department and Handloom Department into J&K Handicrafts and Handloom Department.

P K Banerjee Passed away


  Legendary Indian footballer PK Banerjee passed away in Kolkata after prolong illness.

  He was a Gold-Medallist in 1962 Asian Games and was conferred with Arjun Award and Padmshree.

  Arundhati Bhattacharya resigns from Crisil board. She was working as an independent director of the Crisil. She has resigned as she is going to join as a Chairperson and CEO for India operations of Salesforce, USA.

Himachal govt launched two systems to improve Police Working


  Himachal Predesh govt launched Police Station Visitor Survey System and e-Night Beat Cheacking System for Himachal Police in Shimla. These would help the police department in doing self-evaluation and improve the working of police.

Jammu and Kashmir govt constituted a comission


  J&K govt has constituted a commision for educationally and socially backward class in the UT under the chairmanship of Justice GD Sharma. The commission will look into the issues of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes in Jammu and Kashmir.
